Are you aware that in Pennsylvania there are 1,221,914 people with some degree of hearing loss? Of that number 21,820 are culturally deaf, 65,460 are late deafened, and 1,134,634 are hard of hearing.

Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act provides people with disabilities the right to equal access for public accommodations. Some examples: hotels, theatres, restaurants, doctors and lawyers' offices, banks, insurance agencies, retail stores, museums, parks, libraries, day care centers and private schools. For deaf and hard of hearing people, Title III and its regulation is of tremendous help in removing communication barriers.
